Welcome to Courage
As a youth welfare agency for individual pedagogy Courage offers an extensive network of professional help to children, teenagers and families.
We provide care for juveniles mainly in the region of the Rhine-Meuse in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Courage VoG our Belgium agency for individual pedagogy works on the basis of a convention with the Ministry of the German-speaking community in Belgium. Courage e.V. provides care for children, teenagers and families on the legal basis of the des KJHG §27 ff in particular §34,35,36,41.
For children who need distance from their environment we also offer care homes in Saxony where Courage also has an operating licence.
For short-term projects we offer adventure activities such as walking tours on the Way of St. James in Spain or other tours in Southern France.
Individual pedagogical care combined with educational, therapeutical support and intensive involvement of the family of origin in our work is the centre of our efforts. Systemic family therapy is an important basis of our theoretical and practical work.

We provide care for children, teenagers and families, who are in a crisis or a pressure situation and therefore unable to fit into the existing structures of our society.
Aim is
...to deliver solutions which emphasise and use the resources in order to give the juvenile the feeling of control and competence over his own life- which at the same time includes keeping the family together- which guarantees the security as well as an appropriate development of the juvenile.
